Newton Workshop is headed up by James Newton Taylor. "I was always going to be a designer, ever since I started playing with lego as a kid. I love problem solving, and I love creative genius – if I am ever considered a creative genius myself, I'll be stoked!"
While trying to figure out what he wanted to do with my life, James stumbled upon the Industrial Design department of at Wits Tech. It was then that he realised that he wanted to be a "designer of things". Years later, with a qualification and some great experience from world-class agencies under his belt, he is now running his own Industrial Design consultancy. We design pretty much anything from household items and furniture, to software apps, to inventions that solve the world's problems. We analyze the design of the everyday object and seek to innovate at every level, from concept to manufacture.
